A Sugar filled slide show

We received this update on Sugar (Sugar Maple of Willow’s litter):

Hi, Happy Holidays!

I think I finally figured out how to attach some pictures. Sugar is doing great, her mange cleared up and she was spayed a couple weeks ago. We used the animal hospital in Glendale Heights, they couldn’t have been any nicer and were only charged for her meds. She had no problems and was back to her old self the next day. Sugar has graduated out of her crate, she goes back and forth between my room and my sons room at night and wakes me up between 7 and 8 with kisses all over my face. She is really a loveable dog. She loves to be close to everyone and loves to cuddle. She does not have a mean bone in her body, my son plays crazy with her, taking her bones and bothering her when she eats and we never heard her growl. Sugar has really brought alot of joy to us. Thanks again, have a happy new year.

Sugar looks 90% Labrador

A wonderful update on Sugar (from Willow‘s litter)…90% lab isn’t bad for a rescue puppy!!

Hello,
Just a little update on Sugar, she is doing great, she just started puppy classes and did very well. All her other classmates were tiny breed dogs and I told my husband Sugar looked like Clifford the Big Red Dog.

She is super dog and people friendly and doesn’t understand why everyone does not want to play with her. She is into everything, we cannot turn our backs for one minute. She too like Koda found her way on top of tables, we keep referring to her as Marley. I am curious to know how her litter mates are doing, size of them and how they look. Sugar keeps growing and growing, she is about 35 lbs. at almost 16 weeks and her color has gotten a little more golden yellow. My vet says she looks 90% Lab but her ears are much longer than a labs. I will try to send some pictures when I learn how to attach to my e-mails– I am not very computer savy. I would like to attend some puppy playtimes, but it is just a little too far.

Update on puppy Sugar

We received a note from the family of Sugar (known as Sugar Maple from Willow’s litter)…

little Sugar Hello,
Just a little update on Sugar, she is such a sweetheart, she is really starting to feel more comfortable at her new home as she is exploring and very playful. The first night in her crate she did not do so well, a lot of crying and whining so I let her sleep with me, needless to say neither one of us got very much sleep. The second night we let her cry for awhile and she did calm down and sleep until 3:00. The third night she slept from 11:00 until 6:00, no crying. Right now as I’m writing this she is asleep in her crate, we leave the door open in the day and she goes in when she wants a nap. My son Sam is really getting comfortable with her too. He is constantly picking her up and carries her from room to room, she seems to like all the attention. It is so funny the difference in the way she plays with Sam and his friends other than with adults. She likes to run with the kids and she loves shoelaces. Thanks again for letting us adopt Sugar, we just love her so much. Oh I forgot to mention, she hasn’t had one accident in the house!
