Moonlight goes boating
Received this note and photo from our recent foster, Moonlight’s family…
Moonlight in a boat
Hi Kristin,
Here is Moonlight from today on his first boat/fishing trip. He did great! He had his nose in the wind half the time we were out on the lake. Yesterday, he was one of the stars of his first puppy obedience class! (And we totally adore him!)

What a great picture! Look at those EARS!! Wow. He looks totally calm and at peace. I love that you love him so much. I am happy to do my part but you, opening your heart to him, did/will do it all. Thanks for the update and picture.

Update on Ruffy and a mini-reunion
Here is an update on Ruffy, now named Charlie, followed by my response…
Hi Kristin!
Its good to hear from you! We adopted Ruffy from you but we ended up changing his name to Charlie. He is a great addition to our family. He loves to bite and chew on everything, but we are working on that . He is full of energy and love! He loves his big brother Chase and Chase is unbelievable with him and plays with him. He also loves to be outside he can’t get enough of it, although he isn’t fond of walks yet but I’m sure that will get better in time. He has grown so much and I will get pictures to you as soon as I can find my cord to transfer the pics. Unfortunately, Charlie hates the car and gets sick every time we take him anywhere, but if that gets better we will bring him to the puppy play time (it sounds fun)! Well I think that’s all for now we will update you again later!

Hi family!
Thanks for the email update. Today at Petco puppy playtime we had a reunion of sorts – Ani (Ginger) and Snickers (Apollo) were there, Charlie’s sister and brother. They are looking great and doing well too. You should really try to make it out sometime, it was loads of fun. I know from her mom, that Ginger will be there in two weeks (Saturday May 1st) so stop by if you can. And a good way to help him get over that car sickness – frequent, short trips – even just loading him into the car and driving to the mailbox and back. Just get him used to being in the car, and over time he’ll learn to love it.

Moonlight settles in
Little Moonlight is now in his new home. Here is an update following his first night with his forever family:
Hi Kristin! This is not the best photo but here is Moonlight! He slept all the way here last nite. And, slept the whole night in a crate without a peep! We had him in the bedroom with us and he was a dream! He has only cried once since we got here and it was when we were all out of sight for about 5 minutes. He is playing with toys, (our) Bella and seems so happy! He is so cute when he rolls over and wiggles on his back. Surprisingly, his stomach looks measurably less bloated today!? Yay! I did not know if he had had dinner last nite or not so I just gave him a few pieces of the Evo and some treats. It is amazing – he seems like he has been here a month with how comfortable he is. You have done an amazing job with him.

Snickers and Moonlight have moved on
I haven’t written in a long long while. SORRY folks! It has been a bit crazy over here but now I have time to breathe and guess what, the puppies are gone. Snickers and Moonlight turned into such well mannered and happy little guys, thanks to my son’s hard work playing with them. They also left knowing how to walk on a leash, sit and down and even roll over! I don’t usually have time to train my puppies, they leave when they are still babies. So this was extra fun for me. I had some moments of worry that I wasn’t doing right by them – not giving them enough love and attention, but that passed as I saw them growing into such well behaved little dogs. The families that have taken them home have a great start. I hope their lives are wonderful. Bye bye little guys.
Brief update on puppy Ani
This note from Anialduln’s new family… her new name is Ginger!
Hi Kristin,
I’m definitely planning on coming to some of the puppy playtimes, but I want to get Ani (now named Ginger) used to riding in the car with some shorter trips first.
She’s doing great — getting big fast. I’m taking her to the vet in a few days for her next set of puppy shots, so I’ll get an accurate weight check then.
She’s doing really well with her potty training. She seems to like sleeping in her crate; she’ll even sometimes go in there during the day when we’re up and around and she’s loose in the house.
I hope Fluffy and Ruffy are in good homes too. Do you think they’ll go to any of the puppy socializations on Saturdays? I’d love to see them together again.

Fluffy puppy settling in as Newsa
Here is a note from Fluffy’s new family. Her name has been changed to Newsa…
Hi Kristin!
Newsa has settled in just fine. Everyone loves her and she slept soundly on our bed all nite with the other pups. There have been no accidents…we did go out at 2 am though. Webster is beside himself with joy. I have never seen him so interested in a pup…so all is well here.Thank you again and I will check out the link and keep you updated…

2 more puppies coming
Fluffy, Ruffy, and Ani have left but now two of their siblings are arriving tomorrow afternoon! How cool is that?
They have been checked out and are healthy as can be (thankfully) and we hope that the stay at our house will be a brief 2 weeks.
SO, keep your ears open for anyone looking for a pup!
Puppies are leaving, but one remains
- Ruffy needs a good home
So sad. Anialduln (Ani) left on Sunday of last weekend and it looks like Fluffy is soon to part us too. That leaves poor little Ruffy…I figured he’d go last. He is such a sweet heart and so mellow and easy going. He’ll make some family with kids a great companion. Please, if you know of anyone looking for a sweet puppy, let them know we’ve got him.
So, Ani left and got a clean bill of health from her new vet! Yeah. Here she is getting her “time to go home” bath.
